Praveen Sharma is an agricultural engineer with over 30 years of experience in advanced commercial horticulture and controlled environment agriculture. He has led the design and execution of large-scale hydroponics and vertical farming projects across India, the Middle East, and Africa.

Praveen Sharma is an agricultural engineer with over 30 years of experience in advanced commercial horticulture and controlled environment agriculture. He has led the design and execution of large-scale hydroponics and vertical farming projects across India, the Middle East, and Africa.

With a background spanning research, academia, project consultancy, and entrepreneurship, he brings a rare combination of scientific depth and practical execution. He is the inventor of Revoponics, an energy-efficient vertical farming system developed to improve plant uniformity, reduce energy use, and enhance commercial viability.

Praveen Sharma is also the Managing Director of Globe Florex, the manufacturing arm supporting Flora Consult’s integrated project delivery model.

Flora Consult offers a range of advanced vertical farming techniques designed to suit diverse climates, scales, and market requirements. Each technique is selected based on the principle of appropriate technology—balancing productivity, energy efficiency, and commercial viability.

1. Revoponics (Proprietary Vertical Farming Technique)

Revoponics is an energy-efficient vertical farming method using rotating grow towers where plants are periodically showered with nutrient-rich water. The system ensures uniform light exposure, homogeneous micro-climate, high plant density, and reduced energy consumption per plant, making it ideal for both greenhouse and indoor farming.

2. Vertical Aeroponics

In this technique, plant roots are suspended in air and intermittently misted with nutrient solution. Vertical aeroponics allows precise control over root-zone conditions, faster plant growth, efficient water usage, and premium crop quality, especially for leafy greens and fruiting crops.

3. Indoor Vertical Farming (CEA-Based)

Fully controlled indoor vertical farms using artificial lighting, climate control, and automated nutrient delivery. These systems are suitable for urban locations, warehouses, and non-arable land, offering year-round production and consistent output.
